The ebb and flow of a Maine wedding photographer

Whit Fox March 17, 2016

Many of you know I have been shooting weddings as a principal photographer for the past eight years for emilie inc. I have loved being able to document weddings and families, and work with Emilie and other associate photographers.  They have without a doubt helped me grow as a photographer and taught me tons. I feel lucky to have been the first associate Em hired over our lunch at the landmark Becky's Diner, back when I worked at Aurora Photos, and decided I needed to be on other side -- instead of working on other people's photos (amazing as they were!), I wanted to be making my own.  So goes the ebb and flow of life.

My years with Em I saw the studio grow and evolve, and I'm thankful I was a part of it all.  I'm happy for Em's new venture as she ebbs her way and I flow my way.  With this new current and swell on the horizon, I look forward to riding some new waves and excited for what's to come!  Writing this metaphor conjured up visuals of me relaxing in an inner tube enjoying the ride and conversely, me surfing on a short board with 10 feet overhead (maybe crying a little bit).  I decided the more appropriate visual metaphor I'd like to imagine is me on a long board riding the longest, most beautiful mellow wave with a cocktail in hand.  So goes the beautiful ebb and flow of life.

I'm still building my website, but I'm excited to announce I have a domain!  www.whitneyjfoxweddings.com.
